Heritage

We provide informal preliminary assessments of sites or buildings that do or may have heritage significance and the implications of that significance for development proposals; formal Heritage Statements; and input to applications for Planning Permission and for Listed Building Consent.

Any development that affects designated heritage assets is required to be supported with a statement to describe the significance of any heritage assets affected, including any contribution made by their setting. Assets include a building, monument, site, place, area, or landscape identified as having a degree of significance meriting consideration in planning decisions, because of its heritage interest.
