Aspbury Planning are delighted to announce that Nottingham City Council have granted full planning permission for an affordable residential development comprising 344 Purpose Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) apartments (790 bedspaces) with ancillary leisure, retail facilities and 19 family houses on the site of the former Forest Mill, Alfreton Road, Nottingham.

We acted as Planning and Lead consultants on behalf of our Client, Balia Limited as part of a large multi-disciplinary professional team which included award winning architects Hodder + Partners.

An excellent working relationship was achieved with the Local Planning Authority which consistently approached the process in a positive and proactive manner.

This outcome follows on from recent successes at 123 Huntingdon Street, Nottingham and Freemens Common, Leicester, which have both now been completed
