Tony Aspbury

BA MRTPI
Director

I founded the Practice in 1983. Now, in the main, I supervise major commissions. Amongst other things, I appear as expert witness at Public Local Inquiries relating to major planning proposals as well as the preparation of development plans, and regularly participate at Examinations in Public.  I am also a specialist in proposals relating to ‘Spanish polytunnels’ and associated aspects of soft fruit growing in the UK.  Planning is my passion, and I like to keep fully up to date with the latest development practices, as well as being involved in many community and business groups – I’m Past President of the (then) Nottinghamshire Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Past Chairman of the Environment Committee and Newark Civic Trust. I am a fully accredited member of the RTPI.

A quirky fact about me:  My inglorious rugby career ended abruptly after I executed a spectacular dive to ‘score’ on the 22 metre line, having mistaken it for the try line.
