Caroline Richardson

MTCP MRTPI
Principal Planner

I studied Town & Country Planning at the University of Manchester and have gained over 10 years’ experience working in the planning industry. In my early career I cut my teeth as a Transport Planner, working in the private sector and also on secondment to Nottingham City Council. I then spent a few years working as a Senior Planner in private practice before joining Aspbury Planning in the same capacity in 2018. I gained full accreditation to the Royal Town Planning Institute in 2013 and am experienced in dealing with planning applications, pre-application enquiries, local plan representations and planning appeals within a wide range of development sectors, including residential, economic and rural. I have been an East Midlands Young Planners Committee Member since 2016 and was presented with the fantastic opportunity, as part of the Committee, to host the annual RTPI Young Planners’ Conference in Nottingham in 2018.

A quirky fact about me: Whilst working as a temp for M&S in Manchester, I served Mark Owen of Take That (who was buying his Christmas dinner) and he personally wished me a Merry Christmas!
