Aspbury Planning Ltd is an established planning consultancy based in Nottingham looking to appoint a motivated and experienced RTPI Chartered Town Planner/Planning Consultant to work on an exciting variety of projects for private and public sector clients in the Midlands and across England and Wales.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Planner you will play a key role in developing the client base and enhancing the reputation of this Practice. You will be responsible for working proactively and on your own initiative for a range of commissions including site assessments, planning applications and appeals for private and local authority clients, and major developers. You will be expected to take on responsibility for developing and managing your own clients and caseload. It is anticipated that the Senior Planner will have experience in:

  • Processing of all types of planning applications, including Majors
  • The preparation and presentation of reports
  • Writing appeal statements and attending Hearings/Inquiries
  • Responding to the public and clients on planning enquiries.

 

Requirements

Ideal candidates will hold an RTPI-accredited degree in Town Planning (or related subject) and will have full membership of the RTPI.

Applicants should be confident, commercially-minded and articulate with strong communication and negotiation skills. Candidates will have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle in order to attend meetings, committees and site visits.

A competitive salary is offered for this position, which is negotiable and will be commensurate with the applicant’s experience and skillset.
