About

In 2021 to 2022 Aspbury Planning took part in the Government’s Kickstart scheme. The Kickstart Scheme provided funding to employers to create jobs for 16 to 24 year olds on Universal Credit.

We were lucky enough to have two people join us on this scheme, Natalie and Richard.

Now that their placements have ended, we caught up with them both to see how they were getting on and how their Kickstart placement has helped them in their career journey.

Natalie was our first Kickstart Scheme employee and joined us on a 6 month placement as a Digital Marketing Assistant in May 2021.

She said of her time with us: “The experience I gained at APL has earned me a lot more job interviews than ever before”.

Richard was our second Kickstart Scheme employee and also joined us on a 6 month placement as an Office Assistant in Sept 2021 and APL was his first ever job.

Richard has updated us to say: “I recently got a job within the Civil Service”.

It is great to hear that both Natalie and Richard have benefited from their time with us and that it has helped them move forward in their search for work.

We are very proud of them and wish them every success in the future.
